Free Thought 011 So the big news on YouTube at the moment is about Brittany Pettibone and her boyfriend, Martin Sellner being detained and then banned in the UK, also Lauren Southern getting refused entry into the UK. Pretty much everybody is talking about it. There are channels that I support like Stefan Molyneux, StyxHexenHammer666, and of course, Brittany’s channel talking about it. Also, there are many more YouTubers in an uproar over this. Rightfully so. If you haven’t heard about this yet you might be asking, “What was the major crime they did to get booted from the UK?” In the case of Brittany Pettibone, she was going to interview Tommy Robinson. A man that, in the eyes of the UK, is worse than Isis. You might say that’s a bit of an over statement, but they do seem to frame him in a much more negative light than they would an Isis member. At least according to my research. In the case of Martin Sellner, he was going to a speaker’s corner to share a speech he wrote on free speech. Which he never got to do. He actually ended up editing the speech he was going to give while he was detained, giving it to Tommy Robinson so he could go to speaker’s corner on his behalf. Finally, in the case of Lauren Southern. From what I gather she was stopped at the border and turned away for committing, what they claim to be racist, acts. It is still not fully known at this point in time what those racist acts she was accused of are. Many believe it to be her handing out fliers promoting Muslim LGBT. Now on to my thoughts and opinions on this. First off, I find it odd that any of the UK, I’m guessing, government can say these people are committing hate speech or racism when the immigrants that flooded the UK have committed some of the most hateful and racist acts in the last few years. Not to say all of them do, but enough have that it’s just interesting to see what they deem offensive. I have watched Lauren Southern’s content for years and she’s not racist. She can sometimes push the envelope a little bit, meaning that she puts herself in dangerous situations to try to get the message out there, but from all the time viewing her content, she’s never said anything racist. Also, how is it that they say being Muslim is a race? It’s a religion. You don’t say Christian is a race, therefore, anything she states on Muslims is her talking about a religion, not a race. With Brittany and Martin, I haven’t been aware of their content that long, but they seem to be good people. I don’t see them doing anything out of malice, trying to cause violence, or intentionally getting anyone hurt. The only problem that I can see that these 3 people did, was entering a country to which they are not citizens of, and trying to raise awareness. To get people to speak out against the crimes that are being committed in the UK. I leave with my final thoughts today. The UK seems to be banning foreign conservatives from entering. All this means is the people within the UK have a duty to speak louder than they ever have before. They might can stop us physically from entering the UK, but they can never stop our messages of freedom from echoing across the world. K. West
