Free Thought 005 I wasn’t sure what I was going to talk about today. So I headed to YouTube to see what is going on in the world. I came across a video by Sargon of Akkad talking about how Antifa tried running him out of an event at Kings college in London, England. The left leaning media stated that Sargon was ‘a speaker of the alt right’ and Antifa undoubtedly thinks the same thing. For those of you who do not know, Sargon considers himself a classic Liberal. Then it dawned on me. The reason Antifa and the left media or ‘new Liberals’ consider Sargon to be alt right is because Liberals have gone so far away from what classic Liberals are that the classic ones, to them, look like they are on the right. So, for the purposes of this article we will be referring the left leaning media, Antifa, and others of the same opinions or views as ‘modern’ Liberals. Also, we will be referring to people that have similar views as Sargon, as ‘classic’ Liberals. First off, I think ‘classic’ Liberals have a cause for alarm. They are getting infiltrated by people that do not share the same views as what they consider to be Liberal. This ‘modern’ Liberal considers the former to be right leaning, because they have gone so far to the left that the two sides don’t resemble one another. For instance, in a few of my articles I admit I speak unfavorably about Liberals. Even though I share quite a few opinions as ‘classic’ Liberals. Why do I do this? When you hear the name ‘Liberal’ in this day and age, you think of people calling you racist, sexist, homophobic, and other unpleasant things. In short, you think of somebody that is in most cases, rude. Rather than hear a different side of the story, they try to shut you down because they can’t carry an argument or continue an intelligent conversation most of the time. When I started watching Sargon I was blown away when he said that he considered himself a Liberal. He was everything I didn’t expect out of a Liberal. Even though I don’t agree with him on everything, we definitely have common ground. This is where I say if somebody is willing to have a civilized conversation with you, even if they are not politically on the same side as you, you may be surprised that they have a decent argument. As for when the ‘modern’ Liberals hear something that they don’t agree with, rather than debate on it because they think their morals or views are right, they act like a child putting their fingers in their ears and screaming at the top of their lungs, ‘I can’t hear you. La la la.’ This is what I meant by them invading the term of Liberal. Whenever I hear the word, I don’t think of ‘classic’ Liberals, I think about a whining crybaby, taking their ball and going home. And nowhere is this more so than with the Social Justice Warriors. They truly are ruining the reputation of the ‘classic’ Liberals. I leave with my final thoughts today. When you hear somebody say they are a ‘classic’ Liberal. Listen to them. They are what Liberals used to be. Not what they have become. Also, from here on, whenever I say anything about Liberals that is negative, know that am talking about the ‘modern’ Liberal. Not the ‘classic’ Liberal. If I have something to say about the ‘classic’ Liberal I will mention them by name. If there’s any ‘classics’ reading this, start fighting back against the ‘modern’ ones. Don’t let them give you a bad name. K. West
